After spending the last 30 years obsessing about cars, and a fair amount of persuasion from my better half who was bored hearing me talk about them, I decided to start writing down my thoughts and experiences.
I’ve held this passion for a long time, starting out by playing Top Trumps in the playground and collecting car brochures at the NEC motor show in the 80s (it’s been a while since we had one of those!) I’m pretty sure I can still remember the 0-60 times of most 80s sports cars and which of the Ford Escort trim levels included electric front windows – the LX for anybody who cares. Reading that back, I can see my wife would rather I share my obsession with cars with a computer screen rather than with her…
Anyway, a few things about me. I am in my late 30s, have two young children and have a very chequered car history, starting with a Vauxhall Nova and currently driving a 2006 Audi RS 4, with around 30 cars in between. The starting point for this blog is to share what I think about cars and all things automotive, however I’m sure it will end up evolving into something different.
Thanks for reading…
Mike
